Management information

NRES Plan

Outlines the key activities that we will carry out in the current financial year. Activities are focused on meeting the objectives and aims described in the National Patient Safety Agency business plan. The NRES plan summarises activities, primarily for the REC community, and promotes awareness of the NRES agenda.

Year in Review

Summarises our progress and achievements each year.

NRES Activity Data

Sets out information about the type of REC applications received. Each issue is cumulative and replaces the content of previous issues.

As of June 2010, NRES will be publishing Activity Data biannually.

Strategic implementation

Building on Improvement

Building on Improvement’ is our strategic implementation plan resulting from the work of an ad hoc advisory group, set up by Lord Warner in November 2004. You can read more about it on the Developing NRES page.

Proportionate Review (‘Fast Track’) Project

One of the outcomes of ‘Building for Improvement’ is the Proportionate Review (or ‘Fast Track’) project. This was a pilot project that sought to identify research projects with ‘no material ethical issues’ which could receive committee opinions more quickly. You can read more about proportionate review on the Developing NRES page.
